The most fundamental way to explore
The infinite complexity of nature
Is by fractal representation.

Fractal Syncretism has three main lines:
artistic, scientific and spiritual,
which in sum represent the same quest for the absolute,
in spite of their different criteria for truth.

Francois MIGLIO

Born 1958 in Montpellier, France

Since 1976 Francois has developed his own techniques around superimposed,
juxtaposed and knife-edged grease crayon on veneered cardboard.

His contemplative nature is expressed through paintings of light infused
Mediterranean landscapes and seascapes, which through the use of repetitive
signs, represent an expression of the fundamental and repetitive fractal
structures that comprise all of the natural world.

In 1990 a major event in his life as an artist - a vision, which was
interpreted through the painting "COSMOGONIE,"
gave a new dimension to his work, and through this he explored the
fundamental basis of FRACTAL SYNCRETISM.

Between 1993 and 1998, he created the triptych "EXPLORATION"
which gave shape to his theory of Fractal Syncretism.

This is a new approach in the Visual Arts,
based on contemplation and resulting in reflection on the process of creation,
most notably through the symbol of the spiral and the poetic approach
to the fractal aspects of the natural world.
