FRACTAL SYNCRETISM

Fractal syncretism is a concept that I created in 1990.
This concept tries to establish relationships between different cultural languages which are Art, Science and the Sacred.
This pictorial approach involves contemplation, rationalization and spirituality to represent the Fractal World.

I try to visualize what the research of the next century will bring in the field of Art.
The challenge is to foresee the Arts movement that will be outstanding in the next century.

It is through the contemplation, that all my creations find their origin.

I include in my own work the concept of Chinese and Renaissance perspectives as well as some research of
CEZANNE, ESCHER, VAZARELLY.

Additionally, I integrate many majors scientific developments to build my painting with a spiral cone,
sometime embodied in a cylinder, but always ending in a sphere. (see the Triptych)

In parallel, with the symbolism of the spiral, my work is a reflection of time, space and material;
allowing me to conclude with an exploration of Light and the mystery Creation.

I'm persuaded that Science alone cannot prefigure the major discoveries of the future concerning this phenomenon.
Artistic and spiritual research must contribute to this exploration.

Finally, the spiral also helps me to develop the third aspect of my research witch is Spirituality (not necessary religious).
With the repetitive execution of these spiral forms, I find a state of meditation like people who endeavor in some music,
dance, prayer and other forms of Primitive Art expressions.

It is this indispensable support of meditation that creates the connection between the determined and undetermined world.
